What you can do to maintain your carpet between professional cleanings?

Vacuuming

Choose a well-engineered vacuum cleaner, preferably with two motors so that the rotating brush and the suction operate using two separate units.
We recommend vacuuming carpets, upholstery and curtains at least once a week. A rotating brush ensures that even the most ingrained dirt is dislodged.

Handling wet carpets

Because of their size handling wet wall-to-wall carpets poses a different problem, to that of area rugs. If rugs can be removed (some wall-to-wall carpets are small enough to do so) it is highly recommended to take it to the cleaning center where it can be cleaned and dried professionally. However, when carpets cannot be removed, extract as much of the water as possible using rented equipment suited for the job. However, here to, prevention is better than cure and you would be well advised to call in the professional cleaners to avoid electrical shocks and possible damage to an expensive investment.

• Use of absorbent dry compounds - Once again for use on delicate and special carpets to prevent over wetting, color loss and shrinkage
